  • Happy Easter!

    Dear all,

Happy Easter everyone! I bet lots of you in Hong Kong are having long Easter holiday by now.

I made a really nice Easter egg yesterday, since uncle Chuck hasn't been feeling well, I thought I might make a little something for him and Sue. Too bad I forgot to take a picture of it or I could have showed all of you. I totally painted it myself and decorated it, also I made a get-well card for him. So I gave them to Sue today since Chuck wasn't there at church, but then in the afternoon he called to say thank to me, I was happy that he liked them and that I got to talk to Grandma.DSC09394

A few days ago I got a new Bible for myself! I found this pretty pink color so I decided to get it! I used it for the first time at church today, time seemed to go faster when I could read and listen to Ty preached.

Nothing much to do on Easter, what about you? I know my sister Geri's preparing her A-level, I hope that her hard work pay off.

    Best Wishes,

    Julie

  • Valentine's Day Over Joy!

    Dear all,

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! First of all I wish you all have a joyful day with your loved ones, because it only happens once a year!

Sam and I long ago decided to celebrate this day one day before the actual Valentine's day. Since he has the whole dayDSC09315 off today and no school either. We both had a wonderful day!

     1. Morning Surprise: Sam made breakfast! Well he had made breakfast for me before but this time was different. He had me guessed many days ever since the day he told me he had a morning surprise for me on this special day. I was really excited about it, I kept on guessing what he was going to give me. Until when I was getting ready to go out with him in the bathroom in our bedroom, I smelled food came from downstairs, so then I DSC09329 knew he was making breakfast! He had made french toasts for us! How sweeeeeet! He said it was a better recipe he found earlier this morning. It did taste so good, he also brought us drinks and we ate in the bedroom, yumyum! Thanks baby! *kisses*

     2. Movie: We planned to watch "Fool's Gold" about a week ago on this day. We got to the theater right on time, we bought popcorn and a bottle of coke before we went in. There were a couple and an old grandma in the room that was about it. Which was great actually so we wouldn't feel so crowded. Being in the theater DSC09317 reminded me of my parents going out to see "Cat Woman", they had to sit in the front seats which I bet was not comfortable for them. The movie was great, the perfect movie when going for a date. Although the bad thing was I had to pee so bad in the middle of the movie, I got it through eventually.

     3. Shopping: Burnsville Center! We planned to go to eat right after movie, but the popcorn filled me up and Sam had too much breakfast so we were both not hungry yet. We then decided to go to Burnsville to shop. I had no plan to buy anything, but then I saw this lovely hair band so I bought it. I loveeeeeeeeee that DSC09319 band! It was only $5.50 USD. We of course looked at clothes as well. We spent about 2 hours there until we got hungry and decided to eat.

     4. Food Food: Noodle Company! It was an ok place to go for noodles, I mean the food were great!! It was just that it wasn't a really fancy restaurant like AppleBee etcs. I ordered spicy Japanese beef noodles and Sam had some kind of cheesy chicken noodles. We both tried some of others, we thought they were reallyDSC09318 tasty! I would definitely come back again to try the Tai Curry Soup Noodle next time.

     5. Paper Supply: We had to stop by Archiver's to get some supplies before we went home. I was happy to be able to find some ribbons and bottoms for the boxes I will make for church.

     6. Tv For Tonight: I always love the shows on Tv on Wednesday. We watched America's Next Top Model and Project Runway together, that was really fun, I fell asleep on Sam's lap in between the 2 shows haha.

So that was my Valentine's Day this year and I loveee it!

    XoXo,

  • An Excellent Day

    Dear friends,DSC09314

I had a great day today! I wish I got this kind of day more often haha.

    1. Bible Study: I got up early today to get ready to church for Woman's Bible Study. Ryan didn't tell me last night that Jodie would be late today so I got extra minutes to spend DSC09312after I was well dressed. Church service was great, I took some nice craft stuffs home to make little fancy boxes for church. I had a little yummy breakfast there, a muffin, a small brown and a cup of green tea.

    2. A Sold: Back home from church to find out I luDSC09311ckily sold a dress on Etsy! So now I got some extra money to spend yayayay! (I just spent the money on a very pretty top on  Victoria's Secret hahaha!) Later on Sam and I went to the airport to exchange rest of the Hong Kong dollar I got and that was DSC09313quite fun! We bought lunch from Cub and then went home.

    3. Mails: Finally waited for so long, I received my sister's New Year packet! She put lots of snacks into a box and mailed them to  me, they all looked so goooood! My favorite was actually the little piglet charm she gave me! I lovee it! DSC09310 So now we each got oneeeee! So happy! *kisses x 10000000 sis!* Thanks! p.s. thanks to grandma for some of the snacks as well! I also received a  top from Delia's in the mail, I was happy at first but then I was thinking of returning it hahaa!

So that was my day right there! Looooove it!

    XoXo,

  • Lately Update

    Dear friends,

Lately I've been too lazy to type xanga... so I left out a few important things that I'd like to tell those who enjoy knowing my life in the USA!

    1. Filing for US Citizenship: If I remember correctly we mailed all the paperwork in last month, since then we haven't heard mich about it, it will be a long process until I get my green card Sam and I both knew that. Anyway it was such a relief to have finallyDSC09231 finished all the papers... we should have started right after we got married, but stead we waited till half year later... we were just too lazy to get our butts into it! Taking a passport picture at home was such a mess! I got a bit angry that we had tried sooooo many times and non of them turned out right. Finally we one that might work, thank God! Sam's dad helped out with the money again, so we both didn't have to pay a bit which was great since it costed over $1000 USD!

    2. Tax Refund: So before I came to the USA I had no idea there was such a thing as tax refund. I thought the government took money out of your bank then every penny belongs to them. Until it was just last month both Sam and his parents had received their 2007 tax refund information then I realized we could get a refund! With Marty's help we quickly signed the papers and mailed them in to hopefully receive a check from them soon! I have so many things in mind that I want to buy! We are expecting around $1000 USD, after that then it's all shopping shopping shopping!

    3. Valentine Day: Although Chinese New Year over here seems like a "small" deal, Valentine Day will be a much bigger deal! At least to Sam and I, we have been planning on going out that day to celebrate! Can't wait!

    p.s. miss you all! *mwah*mwah*
